Check Your Licence

To take part in courses run by UK Motorcycle Training Ltd it is important that you have a valid UK Drivers Licence and that that licence holds the correct entitlements. Below is an image of a standard UK Drivers Licence. (If you have a “Paper” style licence you will need to contact the DVLA to check the relevant details. You will also need to produce a valid and “in date” UK Passport.)

Please note that “Provisional” Drivers Licences will be Green in colour and carry and “L” in the top left hand corner.  We do not accept European or International licences (unless otherwise advised by a member of staff”

Please be aware that both the CARD and PAPER part of your UK Drivers Licence must be shown to a member of staff before your course can begin.

You must ensure the NAME, ADDRESS, LICENCE NUMBER and ISSUE NUMBER (represented here by the number “8A”) match on both CARD and PAPER part.

You must also ensure that the EXPIERY DATE (shown on the CARD at point 4b) has not expired. lf your licence has expired please ensure you bring a valid UK Passport as proof of ID.

It is also important to make sure that your licence holds the correct PROVISIONAL ENTITLEMENTS. If you hold a “Pink” CARD licence the provisional entitlements will be shown of the PAPER part. If you hold a “Green” PROVISTIOANL CARD licence your provisional entitlements will be shown on the bottom of the CARD at point 9. (Category A, motorcycle entitlement. Category p, moped entitlement)
